03/26/2019 – Floods destroy norther lodge
Last weeks rain cause massive flooding that seems to have swept away the beaver lodge north of Schoolhouse pond. Only a small portion of the lodge remains. This lodge is home to Sondra and at least three other beavers.
Hector, Sammy and Liam’s lodge also looks like it sustained substantial damage from the flood but is still partially intact.
04/01/2019 – New lodge discovered in “Fox Pond”
I do not for the life of me understand how I missed this lodge on my many walks past it, but this week I finally noticed this masterpiece. Behold “Fox Pond Lodge”
It is still unknown how many beavers live in this lodge, but this will be investigated in the coming weeks.
